A field trip to the Alamo, the shrine to Texas liberty, is an excellent way to foster a love of learning and reverence for history from a young age. Groups can embark on a variety of tours to learn about the history of the Alamo, and may also explore the exhibits of the Long Barrack Museum; the oldest building in San Antonio. Alamo staff provide history talks and living history demonstrations; including firing demonstrations, fire starting, leather working, and more. These demonstrations may also be booked for private events or groups.
